You have the power to change someone's life, change a family or even an entire village.
The cost to feed, clothe and educate a child in Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) is far less than the cost to do same for a child in America. We at VIMA knows how to change the future for our orphans, but we need you to assist us; for just $55/month, an orphan or needy child in Ghana will receive basic care, attend school and then grow to become a responsible adult. We believe Education is the ONLY way to end the cycle of poverty on the continent of Africa.
Our History
Volunteers for International Medical Aid, VIMA is an International humanitarian organization, established by a Ghanaian citizen to help provide the much needed medical aid to some rural areas of sub-Saharan Africa. The organisation runs two orphanages in Ghana, VIMA Children's Home at Bethel, and VIMA Home Annex at Amedzofe. In addition, it supports three orphanages in rural Ghana and many more isolated villages in the Volta Region of Ghana. With representatives in the communities that it serves and guided by the aspirations of the locals, VIMA thrives to achieve its goals by organizing both local and international partnerships with other non-profit organizations in creating healthier lifestyles through donations, education, volunteering and information dissemination. VIMA strongly believes that lasting change cannot happen unless awareness is created in the minds of the people at the grassroots level.
